I have an additional theory: that this world is an alternate version of our own whose timeline diverged from ours when the Holy Star collided with Earth.
Well, I guess it could still be our Earth, though I’m more uncertain than before. Our own world does indeed have a Venezia, known in English as Venice, but I have no idea if the shape of Venezia matches the shape of our Venice.
