Yeah, I grew up with intrepid Tintin and the good but furious Captain Haddock… Good times, good times.
I think their creator would be tickled by your little tributes to him.

Love it– I got all of the books when I was a child and I was re-reading the series this Christmas during our most recent multiple-day power outage. Great way to pass the time, sitting in front of the fire and reading Herge. That and board games . . . .
