When Detective Inspector Tozo is asked to investigate the murder of an employee of the Financial Exchange, he has little idea that the trail will lead him into a shadowy and deadly world of political intrigue, smuggling and religious conspiracy.
Rafaella must really have something on Tozo to be able to recognize him from so far away, and Rosa is so obsess and angry against Tozo that she is willing to compromise their escape by taking potshots of him from a distance. Just what you need, two assassins who are emotionally compromised. No wonder they failed to killed Tozo time and time again. P.S. I am not judging Rafaella or Rosa because they are females, a number of the greatest assassins in history are females. Just saying that when an assassin (whether male or female) gets emotionally compromised, they ain’t that effective anymore, cause they make mistakes more often, that is all.
Then Tozo could go back to being a Public Servant again, since Sforza is dead and the Doge has run away. It’ll all go back to normal. Everything would be right in the world. Well, except that Tozo might become bitter, but it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
Oh, gawd…it’s the crazy lady in pink!

Rafaella has the best hair of any of the characters. So pretty!
That’s the thing with being successful in your profession, whether that be an honest cop or an assassin: you tend to stand out.
As Tozo has found out, that’s not always a good thing…
Yikes — I’m worried for Tozo’s sweetheart; it would be just the thing to happen as the escape, a very Orphean tragedy….
Oh, Brightshade! No!
